About Rounds for Ron: On July 20th, 2020 25 golf teams will come together to celebrate the life of Ronald Louis Caredeo and fundraise for the Multiple Myeloma Foundation in the inaugural Rounds for Ron Charity Golf Tournament. Ron loved the game of golf, and grew to be a very good golfer over the years. Those who knew Ron knew that he enjoyed it for both sport, and the friendships he made along the way. He would always say that he never felt as much at peace as when he did on the golf course.

About Ron: Ronald Louis Caredeo, 66, passed away peacefully in his home on September 9, 2019 surrounded by his family following a courageous six-year battle with Multiple Myeloma.

Ronald was born on January 31st, 1953, son of the late Joseph J. Caredeo and Margaret Taibbi Caredeo. Ronald grew up in South Lawrence and later moved to North Andover where he lived for over 31 years. He and his wife recently moved to Salem. NH. He was a graduate of Lawrence High School, Northern Essex Community College and Lowell University. Ronald worked for Crown Cork & Seal as an accountant for over 40 years. He retired in 2013. Ronald loved the game of golf and grew to become a very good golfer through the years. More than anything he loved his family and always made them his top priority. There has never been a more devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. His passing will forever leave an empty spot in the hearts of those who loved him and who he loved.

About the MMRF:A pioneer in precision medicine, the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation (MMRF) seeks to find a cure for multiple myeloma by relentlessly pursuing innovation that accelerates the development of next-generation treatments to extend the lives of patients. Founded in 1998 by Kathy Giusti, a multiple myeloma patient, and her twin sister Karen Andrews as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, the MMRF is a world-recognized leader in cancer research, launching over 80 clinical trials and leading to 12 FDA-approved drugs. Together with its partners, the MMRF has created the only end-to-end solution in precision medicine. With this, the MMRF continues to disrupt the industry today, building CoMMpass Study, the single largest genomic dataset for any cancer, and launching MyDRUG, the first platform trial in multiple myeloma. Since its inception, the organization has collected over 10,000 samples and tissues in its database, which is shared among 24 academic institutions. The MMRF has raised nearly $500 million and directs nearly 90% of the total funds to research and related programs. To learn more, visit
