EVENT DATE: APRIL 24, 2021
The health and well-being of our patients is our top priority. We are monitoring the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation closely and have made the decision to postpone the event on April 25, 2020. We are actively working to schedule an alternate date and will provide any further updates as soon as possible. If you have any questions, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
This year, we will be hosting an event to raise critical funds for MMRF. We are committed to raising awareness and funds to accelerate finding a cure for multiple myeloma, which is the second most common blood cancer and is currently incurable. Your generosity truly makes a difference.
NEW DATE- APRIL 24, 2021
My dad fought a courageous battle for four years that he lost on April 24, 2019. Not one day went by that he didn’t give it everything he had. The pain and sadness of losing him has devastated our family. Our hope moving forward is that by doing this, we can help another family avoid such a tragedy by raising as much as we can to help give someone else even just one more year, month or day to spend with their loved ones.
We will be having a fundraiser, but it needs to be postponed due to COVID19. Our rescheduled date is April 24, 2021. It will be at the Lexington Knights of Columbus. The cost will be $20 at the door and kids will be free. We will have dinner, raffles, a DJ and will be taking donations there. If you are unable to make it please consider donating here. No donation is too small and is greatly appreciated. #MACSTRONG
A pioneer in precision medicine, the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation (MMRF) seeks to find a cure for multiple myeloma by relentlessly pursuing innovation that accelerates the development of next-generation treatments to extend the lives of patients. Founded in 1998 by Kathy Giusti, a multiple myeloma patient, and her twin sister Karen Andrews as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, the MMRF is a world-recognized leader in cancer research, launching over 80 clinical trials and leading to 12 FDA-approved drugs. Together with its partners, the MMRF has created the only end-to-end solution in precision medicine. With this, the MMRF continues to disrupt the industry today, building CoMMpass Study, the single largest genomic dataset for any cancer, and launching MyDRUG, the first platform trial in multiple myeloma. Since its inception, the organization has collected over 10,000 samples and tissues in its database, which is shared among 24 academic institutions. The MMRF has raised nearly $500 million and directs nearly 90% of the total funds to research and related programs. To learn more, visit www.themmrf.org.
